The product size and storage issues are the main problems for users to have both hang ironing machine and steam ironing machine at once. iiRON is based on this strategy to design.
Design Process
iiRON provides the flexibility for users to switch between hang ironing and steam ironing at one product depending on their need. However, users only need to consider the traditional size of steam ironing machine for storage, which saving lots of space for users.
The iiRON has:
Wireless System
Auto-rewind the charge wire
Special design for tenon and mortise on iiRON could better connect water tank and hang ironing part
The side of 2 irons has a notch design, which could easily iron the shirt with buttons
In consideration of the human factors engineering, I had adjusted the shape of the handle to reduce the pressure on the users' wrists. Also, redesign the water tank to provide users having a better way to refill water and fit the need for both hand ironing part and steam ironing part.
